Faber vs Pickett

 Dando un vistazo a lo que se cuentan los de la ISRG he encontrado esta perla en este mensaje (http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/sliderule/message/36453):

  I know I took a jab at the Fabers. I bought a couple for a pretty penny based
on the aura that seems to surround them. I really did not like them. Yet I
accept the verdict of the market that these are rules to be coveted. There
seems to be plenty of them. Why is top notch Faber worth so much more than a
Pickett N-4? I mean, if you were lost in the jungle with an N4 you could pull
the slide out, sharpen it into a machete, use the cursor to start fires, make
the stators into the roof of your lean-to, then reassemble the whole thing and
use it to signal passing aircraft (I am assuming an ES here). A Faber 2/82
would just melt the first time you tried to grill fish on it.

Este buen hombre ha confundido una regla de cálculo Faber con una navaja Suiza multiusos

¿Alguien le contestó en el ISRG o se le "fustigó con el látigo de la indiferencia"?

No me creo que un coleccionista de verdad pueda llegar a decir eso, vamos, a mí me dolería en el "alma" tener que hacerle eso a una N4-ES...  y el lo dice tan tranquilo
